What is Reflex Candles?

A free, no-install browser game built to test — and train — your reaction speed.

Eight candle-bright sticks hang from an arc above the screen. One drops at random, with no warning, and you have to slide a bucket underneath it before it hits the floor. That's the whole idea: no accounts, no downloads, no waiting for a level to load. Open the page and you're playing within a second.

Why we built it

Most "reflex test" pages online are a single gray box that times one click. We wanted something that actually felt like a game — juicy catch effects, a sense of rhythm and anticipation, and enough variety (difficulty levels, candle count, candle size, a Survival mode, optional chaos distractions) that it's worth coming back to, not just trying once.

How it works, technically

Reflex Candles runs entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API — there's no server, no backend, and no account system. Your personal bests and preferences (theme, sound, high scores) are stored locally in your browser via localStorage, which means they stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.
